Both Lynx and Master Duel are extremely rare. Why is the evaluation so low even though everyone loves the search effect?
The reason is simply that it is not easy to use.
Discarding a card is a cost, so if it is chained to the activation and removed or negate, the side that uses it loses in terms of simple advantage.
Also, the continuous attack grant effect tends to cause him to compete for GY resources with other cards, and it only works against monsters, and he doesn't mesh well with Vendread.
It corresponds to the search for 《Scar of the Vendread》, but since there are many other high-priority cards such as 《Ravenous Vendread》, it does not appear as a search candidate.
Furthermore, since it is a Field Spell, it is a disadvantage to compete with 《Zombie World》, and the Zombie Deck is much stronger if it maintains 《Zombie World》.
For these multiple reasons, this card is almost never used in [Vendread].

It's a card that requires a hand cost, but Vendread is a card that fits the concept of the deck because it works reasonably well with the hand cost.
Vendread Ritual Monster doesn't change much whether it's in your hand or GY, so it's good for the cost.
I also want Vendread Anima in his GY, and Scar of the Vendread as a cost if he sends it to GY so he can search for Spell Trap.
He is useful to have one in his deck as he can transform these cards into the monsters he needs.
As a practical situation, he can use Scar of the Vendread as an indirect monster search card by dropping Scar of the Vendread, which can only be searched by Spell Trap, into her GY and searching for this card.
It's not uncommon for you to already have a spell in your hand that can be used as a search target for Scar of the Vendread, so there are plenty of opportunities to use it.

Field Spell for Vendread.

Even though you need a hand, you can't say that the cards that can be searched every turn are weak. Using self-regenerating minor Vendreads as a cost also works well for hand cost. It's a pity that you can only search for monsters...
Another effect is a continuous attack. It has excellent compatibility with Striges, and you can generate the cost of this card by exchanging cards with Striges, so that you can continuously use the effects that Striges grants with this card's consecutive attacks. However, basically I don't want to reduce his GY source for things like Bone, so I'll have to be careful when activating it outside of this combo.
However, monster search alone is a pretty powerful field. Of course, it's not permanent, but it's a field, which is nice in terms of search.
